A new group, Dayton for Darfur, has formed to raise awareness about the humanitarian crisis in Darfur. Since 2003, more than 400,000 people have been killed and millions have been displaced in Darfur, the westernmost province of Sudan in subSaharan Africa. The crisis grew out of years of warfare in Sudan and an uncertain peace agreement. Food Not Bombs is an international movement that seeks to motivate people to feed, share with, and learn from one another rather than to kill and war with one another. Food Not Bombs seeks to feed anyone who is hungry and to protest violence and warfare as well as the exploitation of peoples and resources around the globe and the waste that results from unfettered consumption.
Food Not Bombs began more than 25 years ago in San Francisco. Hundreds of chapters now exist around the world–including in Dayton. A local chapter began organizing and serving in the fall of 2007.

McCain says that even at the time — March, 2003 — if he had known that Iraq had no biological, chemical, or nuclear weapons, he still would have advocated and supported a U.S. invasion of Iraq in order to topple Saddam Hussain. This is a pretty amazing position which reveals that McCain, rather than seeing the use of military force as the last possible alternative, sees the use

Washington– The question no longer is if. After months of uncertainty, Ohio is likely to have a say — maybe the final say in selecting both the Democratic and Republican presidential candidates on primary day, March 4, according to political participants and analysts. Political ads and candidate visits could intensify in about two weeks.
“I won’t be surprised if we start seeing wall-to-wall stuff in February,” said Mark Weaver, an Ohio-based Republican consultant not allied with a candidate.
“I don’t think there’s any question that you will be bombarded,” said Ohio Republican Party Chairman Bob Bennett. “There’s two big prizes on March
